ANNA SHELTON
Finding inspiration in the unusual forms of nature, the works in I HEAR A NEW WORLD span a year of short road trips around the Pacific Northwest and Canada. By focusing on specific elements of light and shape, the suggestion implied is something other-worldly. Perhaps subconscious impressions from childhood, along with a wish to portray nature within a dream-like veil, Shelton's photography experiments with the complexity of context and hopes to create an atmosphere suspended in time.
Anna Shelton is a self-taught photographer and musician living in Portland, Oregon. She studied English at Ohio State University, and film at Red Rocks Community College in Colorado.

With these recent photo works, Wilson stumbled upon the shape of raw energy within gravity and water. Wave energies travel thousands and thousands of miles, inevitably finding the shallow shore to collapse in/upon itself, displaying forms akin to miniature dissonant galaxies and mountainous alien writhing. An appreciation of happenstance and a celebration of the energy that makes every little thing infinitely unique.
Daren Wilson is a 6 ft tall body of water. Lives and sloshes in San Francisco, California.
